PRP Treatments

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments use your body's own natural blood cells to promote healing of tissue that has been injured or worn down and improve the overall look and health of your skin.

PRP can be injected or applied topically and combined with micro-needling to improve volume, texture and tone of the face and decrease the appearance of wrinkles. When Secret RF micro-needling is combined with the PRP process, the benefits to improve the skin's appearance increase.

Injections can also be used to reverse hair loss and stimulate new hair growth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the procedure work?

A: The entire procedure takes about 30 minutes to perform. During that time, a small amount of your blood is drawn into a vacuum collection tube containing a cell separator gel. The tube is placed into a centrifuge and spun to separate the blood into a supernatant plasma/platelet suspension. The platelets and plasma are transferred to a second vacuum containing a calcium chloride solution. The PRP remains liquid before forming Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM).

Q: Is the treatment painful? Are there side effects?

A: There may be some temporary discomfort during the injections. Like all injection procedures, there can be occasional redness, bruising, itching or tenderness following the treatment that resolves quickly. The injections contain no animal or synthetic products, so there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction.
